PRINCIPAL and FOUNDER:
Christine H. Barrington, Esq.
Licensed Attorney in CT, RI and MA
CHBarrington is a native New Englander. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island and grew
up in Warwick, Rhode Island. She attended the Mary C. Wheeler school in Providence for ten
years before graduating in 1989 and going to the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode
Island, where she received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. CHBarrington then went on to
receive her Juris Doctorate from Southern New England School of Law
(now UMASS Law
School)
in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts in 1998.

After law school, CHBarrington worked as an associate in a preeminent criminal defense firm in
Boston, Massachusetts until 2003, when she left for solo practice. During her tenure there she
made several appearances in district courts from Worcester, Massachusetts to Martha's
Vineyard, Massachusetts and Superior Courts from Springfield, Massachusetts to New Bedford,
Massachusetts. She also made several appearances in the United States District Court for the
District of Massachusetts in Boston.

In 2006, CHBarrington founded and opened BARRINGTON LAW CENTERS, in Connecticut.

In 2008, CHBarrington opened a BARRINGTON LAW CENTERS satellite serving Rhode Island
and southeastern Massachusetts.

CHBarrington limits her personal private practice to mainly education and special education law,
but does take a variety of other matters on a case-by-case individual basis. CHBarrington also
lectures to public and private agencies and organizations on issues relative to receipt of free and
appropriate education
(FAPE), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act
(IDE
IA), the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), public agency appointed educational surrogate
parents, and expulsion, suspension and positive intervention.

CHBarrington currently resides in Connecticut with her husband and three children.
