This presentation focuses on going through the IEP form (state specific) page by page and  requirement by
requirement. PowerPoint printouts of the presentation, a copy of the Special Education "Parent's Rights
and Procedural Safeguards" publication, copies of the state's relevant IEP template form and a must have

2. "IEP Need to Knows for Effective Parent Advocacy" (2hrs.)
This presentation focuses on areas where parent's and schools typically disagree and what options parents
have and suggestions on how to proceed. The presentation is intended as an intense informational and
interactive Q&A steered by need to know IDEIA requirements and resources for parents. PowerPoint

3. "How Does Appropriate Transition Planning In An IEP Effect My Child?" (2hrs.)
This presentation focuses specifically on transition. The whats, hows, whys and wheres of transition.

centers and surrogate parent programs looking for some insight in a non-adversarial manner about how
parent's perceive and reactions to their child being a child eligible for special education. This presentation

7. "Me As A Non-Profit Business? - Sharing What You Have Learned About Your Child's Disability" (2hrs.)
And the give-back ... This presentation is meant as an informational session for parents to get some
information on ways to help and teach others some of what they have learned over the years. This
presentation will focus on non-profit incorporation, filings and responsibilities, starting from the one
